The Board of Supervisors will meet on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm for a work session and on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm for a regular monthly meeting.
The Planning Commission will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.
The Recreation Committee will meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:00 pm.

The Township of Clifton was originally settled in 1815.
The Township of Clifton was formed from Covington on December 14, 1875.
Jacob Gress, the first settler, located here in 1840. He opened the first tavern in a log house in a very primitive style. He was a brave hunter and the proud owner of 73 bear skins. He killed over 700 deer and a large number of panthers, wolves, and small game.
The first store was built in 1863 or 1864 by Herbine, Baum & Company.
The population was 282 in 1880; 172 in 1890; 200 in 1900; 203 in 1910.
(Population was 1,494 as of the 2020 census)
Clifton Township is located in the southeast corner of Lackawanna County.
